When wearing sandals, we don’t need as much space in front of the toes as with closed shoes, so we round down when choosing the size. If you wear a half size of Proalp barefoot models or if the size chart indicates a half size that fits you, round down; for example, if you have EU 39,5 – choose size 39. If you wear size 39 in closed shoes, choose the same size for sandals.
This is because our barefoot shoe size charts already include the recommended 12 mm of empty space, which is very necessary for the toes to have enough room while walking. In sandals, our feet are free in front of toes there is no upper part of shoes, so a few mm less of sole length is ok.
When ordering online, you can also consider the width of your feet. For narrow feet, choose narrow width, and for wide feet, choose wide width. You can find the values in the size chart. For instance: size 39 with a narrow width is 94 mm, and wide it is 98 mm. You also have the option to send us the circumference of your feet around the instep when placing an order, so we can adjust the strap legth if necessary (if it’s not a significant deviation, this adjustment is free of charge).
